Cat Rentals
Did you know that cat rentals -- as in felines, not automobiles -- are available in Japan?
I agree with the critics, the animals are able to create bonding relationships with caregivers and they need love and attention.
I also have a hard time seeing how this works with cats - cats in general are so territorial (I have 3) and usually don't like to be shipped around from here to there. Now there are some out there that will go for a ride in the car with you without freaking out (and not in a carrier) but that's not the norm.
Dogs are a little different but actually are even more codependent on their owners than cats are, and they really need to have a solid home.
Well those are my thoughts, I don't think this would happen in the States cuz PETA would be all over it, don't you think so?

I started this blog to commemorate my cat Saki, who died several years ago from feline leukemia. She had all her shots and I thought she was safe, but she wasn't. In hindsight I can see that I was quite ignorant about how to properly take care of cats. Despite spending hundreds of dollars regularly on Saki (and thousands when she was ill) I can see how ignorant I was about cats. It's too late for poor Saki, but if somehow I could improve the life of even one cat out there through this blog, then at least her death wouldn't have been in vain.
And so my aim is to entertain and educate by sharing stories about various cats I have known.
Please feel free to share your stories too.
